Radiesse
Radiesse is a popular injectable dermal filler designed to minimize the signs of aging and restore youthful beauty. Radiesse is also nontoxic and hypoallergenic. This is one of the reasons why we frequently recommend it to our patients at Perfection Plastic Surgery and Skin Care. If you would like to look younger with less noticeable wrinkles, then talk to our experienced providers in Tucson about whether Radiesse might be right for you. Treatment can yield dramatic yet natural looking results that last for several months.

How does Radiesse work?
Radiesse is comprised of very small, calcium-based microspheres. These microspheres are suspended within a water-based gel. When injected, the gel immediately gets to work plumping up depressed areas like wrinkles and folds. Essentially, it provides the extra support needed to restore youthful contours by mimicking the structure of natural connective tissue.
In addition to providing immediate support, the microspheres stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen. This helps further plump up the depressed tissues and creates a natural-looking, aesthetically pleasing contour. Even after the microspheres are naturally absorbed back into the body, the stimulated growth of collagen will continue to do its work giving the tissues better support.
How long will my results last?
The results from Radiesse injections can easily last up to a year. However, thanks to the stimulated growth of collagen, some people may continue to enjoy their results longer than this. When your results begin to fade, you can then make another appointment at Perfection Plastic Surgery and Skin Care. We’ll determine whether you could benefit from additional treatments with Radiesse.
Is Radiesse right for me?
Only an experienced provider at Perfection Plastic Surgery can determine if Radiesse is right for you. We’ll need your full health history before developing your treatment plan. While Radiesse is non-toxic, it may still not be appropriate for some patients with a history of severe allergies and anaphylaxis. In addition, the safety of Radiesse has not been established for patients under age 18 or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
