Microdermabrasion

A mainstay skin treatment in our practice. It is designed to exfoliate, smooth and freshen the skin in a comfortable, effective manner. It can be performed as a dry procedure with our Diamond Peel system, or as a wet procedure with our DermaSweep and Silk Peel systems, which infuse skin-specific dermaceuticals.  Microdermabrasion is most effective in improving the appearance, tone and texture of the skin when it is performed consistently, at 4-8 week intervals. Often, microdermabrasion is combined with a chemical peel chosen by your Skin Care Specialist to enhance the exfoliation and rejuvenation process.

Clear + Brilliant/Permea Gentle Laser

A gentle laser that refreshes your skin from the inside out. The laser energy creates millions of microscopic treatment zones in your skin, replacing damaged skin with healthy, younger looking tissue. All of this benefit to the skin, but little to no social downtime after this quick, comfortable procedure.

Clear + Brilliant is effective for aging skin to help improve tone and texture, to give dull skin a more natural radiance and smoothness, to minimize the appearance of pore size and to Increase skin permeability, which facilitates delivery of topical skin products. Clear + Brilliant is appropriate for all skin types at ages ranging from the 20’s through the 80’s.

Clear + Brilliant is most commonly performed on the face, neck, chest and hands. Following topical numbing, the procedure takes 30-40 minutes. Afterward, your skin will be red and feel mildly hot and irritated. Cold compresses help to diminish these symptoms. The skin typically resolves in 24-48 hours. Mineral make-up can be applied so that there is no social downtime. For best results, a series of 4-6 Clear + Brilliant treatments at 6-week intervals followed by maintenance treatments a few times per year are recommended.

E-Matrix Sublative Rejuvenation

This technology precisely directs radiofrequency energy into the skin in the form of a matrix. Healthy skin around the dots accelerates the healing process. After the treatment, new collagen and healthy skin cells are produced, which improves mild to moderate wrinkles, superficial skin discolorations and uneven texture. Downtime ranges from 2-3 days and full healing occurs within a week. A typical treatment protocol is 3-5 treatments, performed 4-6 weeks apart.

Micro-Needling

Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for treating the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in improvement of the appearance of softer wrinkles. Automated micro-needling also creates superficial micro-channels which can be used with topical gels, creams and serums to help improve the appearance of the skin.

The benefits of micro-needling are a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, an evening-out of hyper and hypopigmentation, and a smoothing of acne scars, traumatic scars and stretch marks. There is generally a fresher appearance or glow to the skin.

Micro-Needling is a safe, quick and comfortable procedure that can be performed on all body parts, but the most commonly treated areas are the face, neck, chest and hands. Following topical numbing, the treatment takes 20 to 30 minutes. Immediately following the treatment your skin will be red and feel slightly irritated. Resolution of the redness takes 1-2 days, depending upon the intensity of the treatment. Use of light mineral make-up facilitates return to normal activities. The skin will initially appear more luminescent, and further improvement will be noticed over the course of weeks as collagen production occurs. Most of the time, we will recommend a series of 2-4 micro-needling treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart for optimal results. For deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars 6-8 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart tends to provide the best outcomes.

Microneedling & Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

We are now excited to launch the use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to our microneedling treatments. PRP is a concentration of platelets in the blood that are crucial to wound healing. When used for skin rejuvenation, PRP releases growth factors into the skin, which further speeds the healing process and promotes cell turnover and collagen growth. The result for you is skin that glows, with minimal downtime.

Thermage Skin Tightening

Our second skin tightening procedure, employs a capacitive radiofrequency technology to stimulate collagen growth. Collagen is the building block that provides structure to the skin, which loses its strength as we age. Thermage provides deep, uniform heat, causing new and remodeled collagen to be produced, resulting in tighter skin with a healthier, more youthful appearance. The results evolve over the course of 6 to 9 months.  There is no downtime with the Thermage procedure, and you may return to normal activities immediately. Thermage is used not only to tighten skin on the face and neck, but it can tighten, firm and shape of the body to key areas such as the abdomen, upper arms, and legs, too.
